Okay, it turns out the girls from the office haven't been calling every morning like they're supposed to, to check on us. Angie and I usually wake up for them every morning, and she usually answers the phone. But they haven't called since last week. And apparently there was an emergency at the house that occupied all 7 staff members, so Angie couldn't get to her GED class. Needless to say, she's very angry. I'm a little miffed too, since I had to walk across town (about 2 miles of walking from the library) just to get groceries, because they're too busy to make sure we've got food. Not all of us have cars. Angie got reprimanded because she's 19 and doesn't have a license. I'm 21 and I've only got my permit. Not everyone has wonderful parents that are able to take their 16 year old driving the instant they get their permit. Not everyone's able to get their permit at 16. I got mine at 17, close to 18. And then I got kicked out of the house. I didn't actually drive a car until I was 20. So, yeah, the girls at the office are supposed to be helping us. But they aren't. Angie and I are planning to be out of there on Thursday.
Meanwhile, I tried calling Mikey 4 times last night. All I got was his voicemail. I wonder where he is... he's asleep right now. I asked him to meet me online at 2... it's 2:05. I even mentioned 2 my time, 11 his. He managed to do it yesterday... I wonder if he even got my voicemails. I hope he's oka- Oh, he's awake. No more worrying about him. ^_^

26 more days. And the move to Sari's has been delayed until Thursday because of the snow and the fact that Justin's driving from Potsdam to Burlington to Malone tomorrow. Poor guy's gonna be dead after all that driving.
So, today, since the people from the office have been scarce (either that or I've been sleeping through their calls every morning), I decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to walk myself over to the grocery store to get some food. I forgot how far across town it was, though. I think I must have walked a total of four miles today. To the library, then to the store, then back home, then back to the library again.
Final Flash has saved me! (http://www.maverickvirus.com/finalflash) I found out that the library has headphones you can use at the computers, and I've been immersing myself in the beautiful FF music I've missed so much. It's almost like I'm at my own computer... although this one is a Gateway, and mine is a Hewlett Packard...
Speaking of my computer, I think I found a way to get it to California. There's a strap you can buy to wrap around your computer from ThinkGeek that gives it a handle. It's $20, but I think it just might be worth it. That way I can take that as my carryon on the flight to California and not have to sacrifice a duffle bag for the cause. All I need now is the money to order it with. I think I might have enough for it in my checking account, and with my paycheck, I might be able to get the spiffy one with the bags on the side for the keyboard and everything. Hmm... something to think about...
If anyone wants to get me the computer handly thing, here's a link to it- it'll make a nice Christmas present! ^_^;;;;

Oh... the update... 27 days. And 3 until I get to go live with Sari! |

Okay, I was intending to go to sleep hours ago, but Justin and I got to talking... somehow we ended up talking about crossover fanfiction (according to him, fanfiction is evil), when we started talking about the Sega Channel. I told him about my scary Zelda/Mario crossover, where Peach and Link get married and have kids. And from there, Justin launched off on the craziest fanfiction crossovers...
"like, what if Egon busted the Ninja Turtles, then Shredder and Snape could finally make love... and Voltron and MacGuyver could team up to destroy the world-devouring evil of Strawberry Shortcake. Then I could finally be transported home once the A-Team destroys the Battlestar Galactica... but I'll always have the locket that Wedge Antilles gave me when he cheated on his wife Jem with me. The end.
p.s. Go-Bots."
That, my friends, was a direct quote. And, Justin says, it's not like that story hasn't been told already 15 million times. Bahahaha, I love rambling late at night when half asleep. I actually dragged myself out of bed to post this for Mikey and Steve's benefit, because they'd think it's hilarious.
Okay, and because I put the title of his fanfiction as the subject of the entry, he claims I'm destroying his sublime creativity.
"p.p.s. Capt. Janeway finally fulfills her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian."
Okay, now I'm dragging myself back to bed. I probably won't sleep, though, if Justin comes up with another comment like earlier. Shredder and Snape slash, bahahaha! |

Patty had a good idea. Since I dislike my job so much, and I've only got 10 days left of working it (although I bet they won't give me any hours next week, since I'll only be officially employed there for 3 days), I'm just not going to show up. I gave them two weeks notice, but since the job is crap, and it drives me batty, having to deal with customers while trying to get all my stuff done, well, maybe I'll wreak a little havoc by not showing up to work today. (They act like they want to fire me half the time, anyway) Right now, I just don't give a shit. The only thing I'm concerned with is getting my ticket to California. Hopefully I'll be able to get a hold of Justin, and Mike'll be able to get a hold of Melanie, and by this time tomorrow, I'll have a ticket for a flight on JetBlue Airlines. Mm, I want some blue potato chips. ^_^ And those little bottles of water. And my Mikey. 31 days!
...I wonder if I could just go home early. I doubt I'd be able to, I don't know who I'd stay with... no way in hell am I staying with my mom... or maybe I could, for a week? Probably not. Knowing my luck, my mom would call Joe and let him know I'm here, and he'd try and take what little money I have. Guess I'll just have to tough things out for the next 10 days. Then I get to see Sari and Patty (hooray for Patty encouraging me to be delinquent!)!Current Mood: mischievous

Would anyone like to help me make the Potsdam IGA spontaneously combust?
I really, really don't want to go to work today. I'm not cut out for that kind of work. I'm supposed to run around and do everything perfectly. With me, you either get speed or work quality. Not both. If I rush, things get botched up. If I go slow, things go better. But either way I'll get yelled at. I know I'm going to get yelled at today, because the deli table was a little messy when I left. Not horridly messy, but there were a few smears on it. At the time, I was already almost a half hour late with punching out, considering I had a rush of late customers until about five minutes 'til close, and had a long list of stuff to get finished. And I ran out of paper towels at the last minute, so I just said "Fuck this," took the trash out, and punched out, 27 minutes late. But I got the sandwich area so very clean (not even a speck of lettuce outside the case), and I refilled the lettuce (but not the russian dressing, since they left it for me 1/3 full, and I didn't use any that night). I got the meat slicer cleaned up pretty well (cleaned off the handles, too, so Linda doesn't yell at me). I know the floor wasn't the cleanest. I tried. But you know what I determined?
I'm not cut out for this type of work.
Can I quit my job now?

Ahh, well, I learned that Joe's too internet dependent to go without internet, so instead, to save money, my computer's going to be on mostly in the evenings, with a few quick little times during the day to sneak on, update my LJ, and other various things.
Meanwhile, one of my friends said he was taking a little break from the internet. He had an away message up on AIM to that effect, but it's gone now, and I'm not sure if I should message him or not.
My right foot and right shoulder hurt a lot, like I ended up straining the muscles in them when I was walking yesterday. Maybe a hot shower after work tonight will help them feel better. I'd take a hot bath, but I don't trust the bathtub, not in the least. It's so very unseasonably warm out here, it's almost like summer. It's driving me crazy- I like warm weather and all, but enough is enough. Just let it snow already.
Wednesday I go home to visit my mom and sister for Thanksgiving. Let's hope there's no phone wars between my sister and I.
Watched half of Cowboy Bebop with a Joe of the nicer variety last night. I won't get to see the rest of it until next week, though. Damn Thanksgiving vacation.
Still waiting for something to come in the mail. Wonder if it's actually going to come.
Can I move into the dorms yet?

Well, Joe's cancelling cable.
No big loss there, I never watch TV anyway.
Joe's considering cancelling DSL.
Okay, I think I could deal with that, I can just run down to Merrit to check my e-mail and update my Livejournal.
Joe was also considering cancelling the phone, too.
Joe is stupid to keep sharp objects in the house when I don't have phone.
Eventually he decided it's one or the other, phone or internet. I told him internet can go, because I'd much rather hear Mikey's voice than see his text flash across a screen. He also told me that since we're both so broke, the computers have to be turned off when we're not using them.
So much for having my computer run for a week straight.

Okay, I'm just a wee bit irritated.
Why, when I decide to sleep in on weekends, does Joe pick the instant I drag myself out of bed to throw himself into the shower for some ungodly amount of time, leaving me to fend off nature's call?
*cries*

Cb major - life is full of complecations, commitments and organisation. You love to make sure everything is just perfect, but sometimes this can cause you to fall over your own feet. A slightly unsociable key: why Cb major when you could be the identical Bmajor? It has less accidentals.

I love babysitting.
Especially when it's for well behaved kids.
I had the pleasure of babysitting the youngest Romey kid today, Sage, for a little under 2 hours. We wrapped a birthday present for her friend the best we could with two pieces of wrapping paper (we made some ourselves), then I read her a couple of books. I also got her ready for the birthday party she was going to, and then I dropped her off at said party. Mrs. Romey paid me $10, which is suprising, since I only babysat one of her three kids for not even two hours.
I'm not complaining, though. ^^;
